Meet Nick – Our Lead Coach/Mentor
Hey there, I’m Nick 🙂
I’m building Arden Business Consulting to help people strategize the impact of technologies on their jobs and businesses.
I offer business coaching and mentoring services – either individually or through ABC Mentored Support Groups.
Born in England, I emigrated to Canada in 1966. I started my new life in a 2nd floor bachelor apartment in Vancouver’s West End.
When I returned to Vancouver in 2021, I rented a 10th floor one-bedroom apartment in the same building. Success for me is moving up 8 floors in 55 years!!!
I’ve always wanted to use computers to help people be more effective in their jobs, and to help businesses be more profitable.
Along the way, I studied engineering at Cambridge, and computer science at UBC.
My business career has spread far and wide: working in 5 professions and 11 jobs, and starting 7 businesses. I’ve also volunteered to help manage 20 community organizations.
I guess I never decided what I wanted to do when I grew up!
I’ve worked with and mentored many talented and amazing people.
(Many of them became close friends.)
As entrepreneur and employee, I know those feelings of rejection, stress, and anxiety in the business world.
In my businesses, I thought that I could build a better mousetrap, and that everyone would buy it… They didn’t. 😔
